## What alex-act-document-tools-portable does, in the publisher's words

Alex ACT Document Tools keeps document production tested and optional instead of spending Core's permanent payload budget on infrequent format work. Seven skills share one runtime for Markdown, Word, HTML, email, and plain text, with a separate draft-only New Outlook workflow.

Latest published release: v1.2.0. This MINOR release adds tested strict Agent Plugins and Copilot-compatible package lanes while preserving all seven skills, both commands, and the shared runtime from one canonical source. Source: fabioc-aloha/Alex_ACT_Document_Tools. Install from the Alex ACT Mall as alex-act-document-tools@alex-mall. For the complete constellation setup, use the shared installation guide.

From the project README, punctuation lightly normalized. Full text: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fabioc-aloha/Alex_ACT_Document_Tools/HEAD/README.md

## Skills

- docx-to-md: Convert Word documents (.docx) to clean Markdown with image extraction and pandoc cleanup. Use when the user asks to convert a Word doc, convert docx to md, or import a.docx into markdown.
- html-to-md: Convert HTML documents to clean Markdown via pandoc. Use when the user asks to convert HTML to markdown or import a.html file into markdown.
- md-to-eml: Convert Markdown to RFC 5322 email (.eml) with inline CSS and CID images. Use when the user asks to convert to email, make an eml, or export markdown as an.eml file.
- md-to-html: Convert Markdown to standalone HTML pages with embedded CSS, images, and Mermaid diagrams. Use when the user asks to convert to HTML, make a webpage, or export markdown as an.html file.
- md-to-txt: Strip Markdown formatting and produce clean plain text via pandoc. Use when the user asks to convert to plain text or export markdown as a.txt file.
- md-to-word: Convert Markdown with Mermaid diagrams and SVG illustrations to professional Word documents. Use when the user asks to convert to Word, make a docx, or export markdown as a.docx file.
- rich-email: Create and validate polished HTML email drafts from Markdown, then open an unsent New Outlook draft on Windows. Use for rich stakeholder updates, executive summaries, or formatted email requests; do not use for automated, transactional, or bulk delivery.

Descriptions come from the frontmatter of each SKILL.md, punctuation lightly normalized.
