## What copilot-lab-plugin does, in the publisher's words

A reference plugin for the GitHub Copilot Up skilling lab.

A plugin folder sitting inside a repository is not discovered or loaded. VS Code and Copilot CLI install plugins from a marketplace or a Git URL into ~/.copilot/installed-plugins/. This copy is here so you can see the anatomy without installing anything.

To actually install a plugin from source:

- VS Code: run Chat: Install Plugin From Source and give it a Git URL
- CLI: copilot plugin install PLUGIN-NAME@MARKETPLACE-NAME
- Cheatsheet
- Demo script

From the project README, punctuation lightly normalized. Full text: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/alessandro-avila/github-copilot-lab/HEAD/plugins/copilot-lab-plugin/README.md

## Skills

- release-notes: Drafts release notes from a set of changes. Use when the user asks for release notes, a changelog entry, a "what's new" summary, or wants to describe a release to end users.

Descriptions come from the frontmatter of each SKILL.md, punctuation lightly normalized.

## MCP servers

- lab-docs: transport: http; url: https://learn.microsoft.com/api/mcp

Read from the plugin's own mcp.json. Environment variable names only, never values.
