## What sap-abap does, in the publisher's words

Skills for SAP ABAP development across customer-managed and cloud systems: Standard ABAP on SAP ECC 6.0, SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP, and SAP S/4HANA (on premises or on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud VMs), enhancements and integration, plus ABAP Cloud with RAP and clean core assessments.

Each skill states the SAP products, SAP_BASIS releases, and ABAP development model it targets. Where SAP runs does not change the development model: an ECC system on Azure VMs is still classic ECC with Standard ABAP. Code samples and test answers are parsed offline with abaplint using the grammar of the target release, so syntax that an older release does not support is rejected. Activation, ATC results, and runtime behavior still need a real system; see docs/sap-environments.md and docs/testing.md.
