## What carsmcp does, in the publisher's words

Distributable plugin source for Codex (Agent Plugins format) and Claude Code. It bundles the remote CARSMCP MCP server and a car-care skill, uses each customer's own CARSMCP sign-in and access approval, and contains no credentials.

Marketplaces at the repository root list this plugin:.agents/plugins/marketplace.json (Codex) and.claude-plugin/marketplace.json (Claude Code).

Published October 1, 2026 as the public marketplace repository martinavila/carsmcp-plugins (owner-authorized). Codex users add it once with codex plugin marketplace add martinavila/carsmcp-plugins; after that, codex://plugins/install/carsmcp?marketplace=carsmcp installs the plugin and starts sign-in. A no-setup link needs an OpenAI plugin directory listing, and a Claude directory listing would replace the prefilled custom-connector link; both need a public privacy policy, support contact and reviewer test account first.

From the project README, punctuation lightly normalized. Full text: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/martinavila/carsmcp-plugins/HEAD/plugins/carsmcp/README.md
