## What ocean-science does, in the publisher's words

Physical oceanography for Open Science Pillars: the ECCO v4r4 state estimate, SWOT KaRIn SSH, meridional transport, budget closure, water masses, sea level, and the PO.DAAC knowledge arc.

This capability builds on core's foundation skills and its start / discover-data / report workflows, and on the PO.DAAC provider knowledge in nasa-daac-knowledge. It declares both as dependencies, so one install brings them with it.

A Hydrosphere capability, discipline Ocean Physics (.osp/repository.yaml; ADR A in the marketplace repository). Its knowledge (KNOW) is the PO.DAAC bundle, signed by that provider's stewards and consulted in place, plus the local conventions and connectors here; its behavior (ACT) is the skills; its verification (PROVE) is the golden notebooks here and the attested computations in the provider bundle, whose receipts any runtime's result can be checked against; its connectors (REACH) are in.mcp.json. The Claude package files are the runtime projection of.osp/package.yaml.
