## What weave does, in the publisher's words

> Harness-agnostic prompt and agent-configuration API

Weave lets you describe agents, prompts, categories, model preferences, skills, tool policy, and workflows in a.weave file. An adapter translates that intent into one supported coding-agent harness. The harness still owns its native UI, models, tools, and execution behavior.

Public user documentation: https://tryweave.io/docs/quickstart/.

- Bun 1.1 or newer for the CLI and local development.
- OpenCode, Claude Code, or Pi for the harness-specific integrations.
- Pi >=0.81.1 for the Pi adapter. The adapter has no maximum Pi version; the current release proof covers Pi 0.84.2.

From the project README, punctuation lightly normalized. Full text: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/weave-io/weave/HEAD/README.md
