## What descript does, in the publisher's words

Edit video and audio by editing text. Import media, create projects, and use AI to edit, all from your agent.

Connects to the Descript API over MCP, giving agents access to:

- Discover: list_projects / get_project inspect projects and their compositions, media, and metadata; list_folders / get_drive_info browse folders and inspect a connected Drive
- Import: import_media (via URL or direct file upload), import_drive_media (from a connected Google Drive), file_upload_ui (direct file uploads)
- Edit: prompt_project_agent edits with Underlord, our AI co-editor, using natural language (trim, add captions, remove filler words, and so much more)
- Publish: publish_project publishes a composition as a shareable link and exported video or audio
